A new build, 3 storey, 6 bedroom private residential home on the site of an old MOT garage. This was a challenging, long and narrow site surrounded on three sides by tall, neighbouring buildings. The ground floor contains the kitchen, dining and living spaces which open onto a slender courtyard which features an above ground swimming pool and outside shower. Above the ground floor, two round towers, connected by a bridge form the bedroom spaces, both with roof top terraces above.

The soft curves, punctuated by round windows, introduce a flowing geometry into this box shaped site, surrounded by rectilinear forms.

It’s a playful architecture that creates a very personalised home. A unique oasis in the city designed to both entertain and to provide respite. The round forms that create the upper floors are set back and separated from each other to bring light into this otherwise dark and forgotten site.
